These terms govern your use of Finaease.
Welcome to Finaease, an online personal checkbook and budgeting application (“Service”). By creating an account, accessing, or using Finaease, you (“User”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.
Overview of Service
Finaease is a digital checkbook-tracking platform that allows users to record transactions, manage recurring items, organize account registers, and track balances. Finaease is not a bank, does not provide financial, legal, or tax advice, and does not guarantee accuracy of user-entered information.
User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for entering accurate information, including but not limited to transaction amounts, dates, account names, and recurring item details.
Finaease is not responsible for mistakes, mistyped information, duplication errors, or incorrect data entered by the user or by those given shared access.
Users agree not to misuse, modify, reverse-engineer, or attempt to access restricted areas or system functionality.
Family Accounts & Shared Access
Family invites are available on Premium within invite limits. The Free tier does not include inviting additional family members.
Premium users may invite up to two (2) additional family members at no extra charge.
Invited family members will have full access to all accounts, checkbook registers, transactions, and financial information associated with the primary user.
By using the Family feature, all invited users acknowledge full visibility to shared financial data.
Finaease is not liable for any disputes or unauthorized actions performed by family members who were granted access.
Subscriptions, Pricing, Auto-Renewal
Finaease offers a Free tier (no subscription fee; feature limits apply) and Premium subscription plans:
- Monthly Plan: $5.00 per month (US dollars, USD)
- Annual Plan: $50.00 per year (US dollars, USD)
All subscription prices are charged in United States dollars (USD).
All subscription plans auto-renew unless cancelled.
Users may cancel at any time through the Billing section of Settings or by emailing billing@finaease.com.
All payments are non-refundable, including partial usage or early cancellation.
Premium Subscription Billing
If you choose Premium after verifying your email and complete checkout through Stripe, you start a 7-day free trial. We validate your payment method with a $0 authorization at checkout; Premium access begins immediately. Your selected monthly or annual plan price is charged when the trial ends, then renews automatically until you cancel.
Free-tier accounts do not require a payment method and are not billed.
Subscriptions renew automatically based on the selected plan:
- Monthly users are billed at checkout and every month on that same date thereafter.
- Annual users are billed at checkout and once a year on that same date thereafter.
Payment methods can be updated at any time through the Billing section in Settings. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period and the user retains access until that date.
Payment Processing, Billing & Grace Period
Finaease uses Stripe exclusively for secure payment processing. Stripe stores and handles all payment information; Finaease does not store credit card details.
Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards plus Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay (via Google Pay on supported devices), where available.
If a renewal payment fails, users will receive a 3-day grace period to update their payment information. After the grace period expires:
- Access to the Service will be restricted
- Users will retain access only to the Billing Page until payment is successfully processed
No Refund Policy
All subscription fees are final and non-refundable. This includes accidental purchases, non-use, user-entered errors, family-access changes, or account deletion before the billing period ends.
Privacy & Data Use
Finaease does not sell, trade, or rent personal information to third-party marketers or data brokers. Only data required to operate the Service, maintain accounts, and manage subscriptions is collected. We may use analytics and advertising partners (such as Google Analytics and Google Ads) subject to our Privacy Policy and your cookie choices. Stripe and other third-party services may have their own data practices outside Finaease’s control. Data will only be shared when necessary to operate the Service or comply with legal requirements.
Email Communication
Finaease may contact users for service interruptions, security alerts, critical account notifications, and billing issues (including failed payments). Users may opt out of future promotional emails if such communications are introduced later.
Service Availability & Interruptions
Finaease does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We are not liable for downtime, data delays, internet or hosting outages, third-party disruptions (including Stripe). Backups of critical data are the user’s responsibility.
Account Cancellation
Users may cancel at any time through the Billing section in Settings, or by emailing billing@finaease.com. Cancellation stops future billings but does not refund prior charges.
Inactive Account Deletion
Accounts inactive for six (6) consecutive months may be permanently deleted. Deleted accounts cannot be recovered. When possible, users will be notified before an account is removed.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as-is” and “as-available” without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, uptime, or fitness for a specific purpose. Users acknowledge that all financial data within the system depends on correct user input.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law: Finaease is not responsible for losses caused by user mistakes, data entry errors, or actions by invited family members. Finaease is not liable for overdrafts, budgeting errors, or financial losses resulting from reliance on user-entered data. Finaease’s total liability is limited to the subscription fees paid during the most recent billing cycle.
Account Termination
Finaease may suspend or terminate accounts for fraud, violations of these Terms, abusive system behavior, payment failures beyond the grace period, or attempts to circumvent security systems.
Changes to Terms
Finaease may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
